Canteen Rules – VFW Post 1316

As approved by the House Committee Executive Board

(TO BE VOTED ON AT THE NEXT MEETING)

1. Bartender on duty has the legal authority to deny service to any patrons or persons as deemed necessary by ARKANSAS ABC Rules.

2. All patrons are required to sign the logbook when entering the premises.

3. All patrons must be 21 years of age unless the following rules apply:

    A. Person is Active Duty Member (must show ID Card).

    B. All persons under 21 must be with a relative over 21. Persons under 21 must leave the Canteen when relative leaves.

4. Use of profane & vulgar language, or loud & boisterous behavior will not be tolerated. Violators may be asked to leave the Canteen.

5. No person or patron is allowed behind the bar unless the following rules apply:

    A. The Commander or Bartender gave permission

    B. Maintenance and or member personnel performing their duties

6. All Canteen tabs must be paid by the end of the day they were started. Bartender has the right to request and hold a credit/debit card on tabs as deemed necessary.

7. Tabs not paid within the 24 hours of execution shall be deemed to be delinquent and member or patron will have those Canteen privileges revoked for 30 days.

8. After 9:00 PM all persons under 21 will not be allowed in the Canteen see rule 3.

9. No pets allowed in the Canteen area unless it is a service animal per the state or VA.

10. No person or patron can enter the office or refrigerator unless approved by the Commander, Sr. Vice Cdr., Jr. Vice Cdr., Quartermaster, or Canteen Manager.

13. The Commander, Sr. Vice Cdr., Jr. Vice Cdr., Quartermaster, and Canteen Manager have sole authority over all supplies, utensils, and equipment in the kitchen. Other persons may not use said items unless approved by the Commander, Sr. Vice Cdr., Jr. Vice Cdr., Quartermaster, or Canteen Manager.

14. Littering in the Canteen or on Post property will result in disciplinary action of a seven day Canteen privileges suspension by the House Committee/Commander.

15. Any member, patron, guest, or employee who fails to follow Canteen Rules or Post By-Laws Shall suffer disciplinary action.

16. No private property is to be stored in the Canteen or on Post property unless approved by the Commander.
