Subject: Congratulations to Comrade Clifford Small!

Dear Comrades,

I am thrilled to take a moment to recognize an outstanding member of our VFW Post 1316 family. Congratulations are in order for Comrade Clifford Small, who has recently been honored by the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Development and Civic Engagement.

Comrade Small has dedicated an impressive 2,451 volunteer hours over an 11-year period, selflessly serving our veterans and the community. His commitment to service not only demonstrates his dedication but also sets a remarkable example for all of us.

Additionally, we are proud to announce that Comrade Clifford Small has been elected as the newly appointed Post Trustee for VFW Post 1316. We are confident that he will bring the same passion and dedication to this role, further enhancing the work we do in honor of our veterans.

Join me in congratulating Comrade Small on this well-deserved recognition and in wishing him success as he takes on his new responsibilities. Your hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, Clifford!

In Service and Brotherhood,

Kenneth Williams

Members of VFW Post 1316 purchased boots for Cloverdale's Junior Reserve Officer Corps (JROTC)

Cloverdale Middle School has the only JROTC program of it's kind in the state

of Arkansas. The Group is under the sponsored and lead by Retired Master

Sergeant Dishoungh White. The Program was mustered in August 2005 and

many students have had the pleasure of experiencing the joy of presenting

the nation's colors at sporting events and for various civic groups and

organizations from all over the state. The group has been wearing the some

of it's boots for the past 16 years. Some of the boots were in pitiful shape. The

members voted at their November membership meeting to puchase 13 pairs

of boots. The student cadets were excited and thankful for the donation.

Cloverdale's JROTC has perfomed many times befor the governor and before

the LRSD's Red Ribbon Week Rally held annually at the River Market

amphitheater where over a 1,000 LRSD students gather to pledge to stay

away from illegal drugs, tobacco, and alcohol.
